Sepang Motor Grand Prix!
1st time in my life to actually experience the actual Grand Prix for bikes. Though I may not be crazy about it but its an experience nonetheless. Along with all my bike friends, 13 bikes up to Kuala Lumpur Sepang Racing Circuit. It was long long journey. Crazy weather...... Rain for a short distance...... it was really WET... cos we were travelling in high speed. On the range of 140-190 Km/hr. Definitely not for the old and faint hearted! One wrong move... thats it. At 1st, my baby only went to 170 Max! Wondering what was wrong... This is the 2nd time I "Pi Chia" lie down as close to the fuel tank as possible (cos non faring bike and I am really contributing to the wind resistance). It really helps in the increase the speed. After such a long period of time, my baby finally is able to clear meter once again. It felt so good.... when it went to the power cut region! Funny feeling is .... I felt underpowered! .... Its really kind of dampening the spirit when you find you can't do anything when you are in certain situation, just letting things happen in front of you... Ops.... Am I Drifting too far.... Eh.. No... Underpowered! Thats exactly what I felt! Feel that you could have gone faster, further, fiercer...... with a flick of the wrist. That is something I want to do for quite sometime. Financially been taxing on me recently so have to bite the stick and endure for the moment. Given the opportunity! My next trip will be on my ideal bike! Yeh.....
Upon reaching Sepang, I was awed by the number of bikes present! Its a sea of bikes I mind you. Quite a sight! Too bad I forgot to bring my own camera (damn it!) well still my job as a photographer never did left me. Hahahha. One thing I have to mention... The Weather is really FINE! So hot man! I wonder how high the temp was. Couple of our bikes ( super bikes) hit temp well over 100 degree C! Man..... Oh well. Finally got ourselves into the stand... though not grandstand ($50ringgit), we settled for a location overlooking the 1st hairpin and 90 degree turn. Its really worth the $$ though. Seeing their cornering really amazes me! The 125 and 250cc one was quite boring actually. Its only the main GP starts with the super bikes (heard its 500cc) that draws attention of the overall crowd! The roar of the exhaust really set the blood pumping! Really changes some of my mindset about getting my next bike though. I had my promises about getting sports bikes...... but I guess you only life once. Why not! Don live in regrets.
At 1st I had problem recognising the most popular racer (Valentino Rossi) until our leader pointed him out. His "costume" really stands out from the rest... let alone his bike! SO SO SO FLUORESENT! Anyway ... there were exciting few rounds when he started no. 7th bike and overtook the rest ........ and maintain the 2nd spot....... eventually he did overtook and got 1st but lost his top spot to another fella (I not sure of the name). It was definitely worth the $$ paid to see such exciting race and sound of the roaring exhausts. Right after the race, we all went around to take a look at the booths to see what good stuff they are selling. Disappointment. But there were Sports bike that were on display.

Might as well take a few shots with them. More and more tempted I am as I mounted the bike. Ops..... hahahahaha. Soon it was time to wrap everything up and leave KL.......

Leaving that place was a disaster! Damn! can u imagine the sea of bike..... all leaving.. not to mention cars as well.... OH MY GOD! The most stressful traffic I've ever encountered! Besides the heat, there are bikers whom we known them for reckless and hell riding not giving a damn about other road users. Finally we escaped from ALCATRAZ. Upon reaching our 1st stop.... we scurry away looking for food! Boy are we hungry! We totally forgot about lunch. Hahhahaha. At that time was close to dinner already..... We decided to skip couple of stops after that.... zooming 130km to our next stop.. That was when some of us really brain drained...... including me. Nearly dozed off at speed of 190km/hr. Thats really ... er......... SHIOK! Bit of stomachache, bladder overflowing..... My God I was really rushing for time! Endurance really was the key! Finally reach the checkpoint for topup... SHOCK! The stupid station was jammed! No choice endure further until I refuelled my baby!
From Machap back to Sg was more of a breeze.... full speed ahead...... There was a commotion thought at the SG custom. At 1st I thought our group had some argument. Later I found out that it was because of some JACKASS malaysian cutting queue that sparked the fire. Not only our group was fedup thought. There were so many Sg riders from Sepang.... all crowded around. Haahha If only something happened! hahahhah That'll be quite a scene!
An experience! Not to be forgotten.
