Watched movie last Sun. 2 infact. 881 and Borne Ultimatum. Well the 2nd movie jus a exciting action packed movie. Normally you would expect it like that cos of the 1st and 2nd installment.
What I am impressed is 881. Director Royston Tan was my sec sch fren. He was quite a soft arts fella. Was never close with him though. But I feel proud for him. His movie since 15(the Ah beng show) has come a long way.
881 1st thought was Crappy show that is Something like Jack Neo's boring theme. But it was Roy's film i decided to give it a go. The outcome was OUT OF THE BOX. Instead of lauging all the way, i teared. The ending was SSSSSSSSOOOOOOO TOUCHING.
The songs were all so down to earth. (OK maybe jus singapore). Appropriate songs at the precise moment.... WALA (tears).
Maybe its becos of my fren who recently died in accident that made me feel more, or maybe even the fact that the show also partially dedicate to the late Chen Jing Lang (Famous Getai Singer). Hokkien songs was perceived as uncouth even vulgar. Thanks to Roy, it took the center stage and a lot of people starts to appreciate it. The lyrics are larger than life and is really nicely worded.

CY Au aka ablaze. Left us in such a hurry on 7th Aug 2007. Survived by a widow and 2 young daughters. His life was filled with excitement and vigor. As a driving instructor and riding instructor as well. Come from Ipoh the land where most of us riders visit everytime. To explore and realise some of the full potential of our bike. He always appears with smile and laugther. He's a sun in the group. Though he may not be able to go to all trips. He always make it a point to come for meetup over a cuppa tea.
His life so short yet so colorful. I dedicate this song to you! My Fren in time. Your life shown us light of how delicate life itself is. You never know what is gonna happen next. As the lyrics go,
